Q: Should a new organization be formed to address this issue?
A: No. An interagency tribunal with full time staff provided by federal agencies and led by a Presidential appointee would take ownership of the issue: Can and Should AI Be Regulated?
Q: Is it possible to express an opinion without asking a question?
A: Most certainly; simply use the contact address provided above. With respect to a related question we have received, we do not disclose the identity of the person asking a question. In that CRE resources are not infinite, we reserve the right to print only those comments or questions that have the broadest appeal to broadest audience.
Q: What actions have been taken to publicize this undertaking?
A: Nearly none. That said, the relevant material on this project has been posted on the CRE website and has received a recognizable number of hits. [NB Subsequently we initiated the presence of an AI Library and that has increased the readership considerably.]
