Police in Riga Region bust large illegal cigarette factory
Police in Riga Region have busted an illegal factory that had been making cigarettes in large amounts, Andrejs Sozinovs, the chief of the Riga regional criminal police, said at a news conference yesterday, cites LETA.
The illegal cigarette factory had been secretly operating at a hangar, supposedly producing pellets. The entrance to the cigarette factory was hidden under several haystacks.
The factory had been provided with amenities so that the workers had no need to leave the premises and included three shower cabins, dormitories with beds and a kitchen.
