Coalition says one of three in province cigarettes are contraband

Grant said one of the problems is that kids are smoking illegal cigarettes as well.
“A study of cigarette butts in front of high schools showed that a third of them were contraband,” he said. “Which is a problem, because these kids shouldn’t be smoking at all, but people selling contraband don’t ask for ID. A kid can get a bag of 200 cigarettes for the price of a movie ticket.” [Emphasis added]
