PEMBROKE — A traffic stop on Route 77 Thursday led to charges against a man for possession of untaxed cigarettes, a man who was on federal probation for smuggling undocumented aliens from Canada.

Tarbell pleaded guilty in June 2013 to smuggling Polish nationals from a Canadian portion of the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation to a Walmart parking lot in Massena.
