7 officials, 3 others plead guilty in smuggling cases [U.S.]

A four-year undercover investigation involving bribes, kickbacks and smuggling cigarettes into Guam ultimately resulted in 10 people admitting to federal corruption charges.

Seven of those defendants were public officials at the time of the offenses, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
