Gary Grant doesn’t smoke, but he knows all about cigarettes.
He knows it costs $80 for a carton in most stores, for instance. Or only $8 for a baggie of 200 contraband smokes.
He bought some once, in the name of research. He stopped when he noticed a small roadside operation that was selling cigarettes illegally.
He asked the person selling him the $8 bag of cigarettes whether it was legal to buy and sell so cheaply. He was assured that it was – although he knew otherwise.
He got 200 contraband cigarettes, and an added bonus.
“There was a free lighter in every bag,” he said.
