Officers of Huanggang Customs House (affiliated to Shenzhen Customs District) said they intercepted a case in which large quantities of counterfeit cigarettes hidden in corrugated paper boxes were seized. A few days ago, a company declared to Customs 8,000 corrugated paper boxes as exported normal trade goods. After risk analysis, Customs officers labeled this consignment of goods as “highly risky” and put it under surveillance. Later, Customs officers found through manual inspection 30 boxes of infringing cigarettes (322,200 smokes) which involved such brands as Marlboro and KENT.
