FTC plans multiple public hearings on potential updates to consumer protection policies

The Federal Trade Commission will examine whether “broad-based changes” brought on by new technologies and other developments require “adjustments” to consumer protection laws and polices, with over a dozen public hearings planned to gather input over the next few months.

In a Federal Register notice published today, the FTC announced it would hold between 15 and 20 meetings on the issue. . . .
