NAB, ANZ, Telstra, Google, Uber want customer data rights limited

Some of the most prominent companies in Australia fear looming recommendations from the Productivity Commission to increase data sharing will have a chilling impact on their market power by forcing the release of commercially sensitive customer insights to competitors.

National Australia Bank, ANZ Banking Group, Telstra, Google and Uber have warned the government not to define customer rights to digital data too vaguely because this could see proprietary intellectual property handed over to rivals.
