The Office of Management and Budget is squarely focused on cybersecurity, following the breach of 21.5 million individuals’ records at the Office of Personnel Management this summer, and it appears that the office wants to boost its cybersecurity expertise even further.
In an Oct. 15 post to USAJOBS.gov, the White House solicited applications for an “information security specialist.” The position will report to the Cyber and National Security Team’s unit chief in OMB’s Office of Electronic Government, not the federal chief information officer.
