EPA Denies Petitions for Reconsideration of Electric Utility Greenhouse Gas Emission Standards
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has denied six petitions for reconsideration of the final Standards of Performance for Greenhouse Gas Emissions from New, Modified, and Reconstructed Stationary Sources: Electric Utility Generating Units. EPA published these standards in the Federal Register on October 23, 2015. The agency is deferring action on the issue of treatment of biomass raised in the petitions of both the Biogenic CO2 Coalition and the State of Wisconsin.
