White House Acts to Improve Digital Government
President Obama has issued a Memorandum for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies, dated May 23, 2012, and entitled Building a 21st Century Digital Government. This Memorandum follows Executive Order 13571 (Streamlining Service Delivery and Improving Customer Service). It coincides with the Federal Chief Information Officer's release of a new Federal Government strategy entitled ''Digital Government: Building a 21st Century Platform to Better Serve the American People.'' This strategy will enable more efficient and coordinated digital service delivery by requiring federal agencies several actions discussed in the CIO's document.
