DQA Exemption Stripped from NOAA Bill
Greenwire reports that the Senate Commerce, Justice, and State Appropriations Subcommittee has removed from an appropriations bill a rider that exempted NOAA from the Data Quality Act. The rider generated considerable controversy over the last few weeks after it was discovered in the bill. According to Greenwire, Sen. Hollings' Office stated that the Subcommittee decided the DQA exemption needs more vetting before it could be included in the bill.
