OMB To Issue New Policies In Effort To Encourage Transparency
The Obama administration is poised to issue a long-awaited open government directive that strikes a balance between new information technology and new policies, according to White House officials. OMB Director Peter R. Orszag will issue the formal guidance and has been reviewing recommendations and comments to find a clearer way of demonstrating to citizens the results of their tax dollars. According to sources, OMB's new policies is an effort to encourage public trust in government accountability and transparency.
