“I’m a Medicare patient and I don’t like the new law, the competitive bidding, for my oxygen supply and medical equipment. At one point I was on hospice, where it’s the very cheapest of whatever because they provide it, and the oxygen machine was so loud and it was old and decrepit. All the equipment they brought me was just worn out. When hospice dropped me, I had to get my own medical company, and so I got one. They brought this wonderful machine that doesn’t emit heat and burn me up through the house. It’s all so nice and quiet, everything’s neat, and things just function so much better, the nebulizer and everything. I just don’t like this competitive bidding, because there are some really crappy places out there. I’d like to be able to choose what company I want to provide my health and my medical equipment.
