06/07/07 HHS to Expand Nationwide Health IT Network

"The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, is calling for proposals this week from state, regional and non-geographic health information exchange organizations to participate in the expansion of the Nationwide Health Information Network. The goal of the NHIN is to promote widespread use of electronic health records by 2014."
